I am Dr Phillip Gama. I was born on April 30 1985. After spending my early childhood in Mandini (Northern KZN), my family and I settled in Amanzimtoti, South of Durban. I completed my primary school at Warner Beach Primary School before going to High School and completing my Matric at Amanzimtoti High School in 2003. After an unplanned gap year, I enrolled at The University of Kwazulu Natal School of Medicine where I studied and completed my MBChB (Batchelor of Medicine and Batchelor of Surgery) Degree in March 2010.
I then went on to do a 2-year internship at Ngwelezane Hospital and Lower Umfolozi (now Queen Nandi) Hospital. I then did 1 year of community service at Emmaus Hospital in Bergville after which I returned to Queen Nandi hospital where I worked for almost 3 years before deciding to go into private practice.
I am very familiar with the Eskhawini and KwaDLangezwa areas as I have spent most of my working life in this area.
My hope has always been to provide the people of this area with quality, affordable and world-class healthcare. I also hope to create long lasting, mutual relationships with the community of these areas.
